概要	Transnational migration to Japan has been developing since the 1980s, despite the fact that the Japanese government has officially denied accepting ‘immigrants’ and maintained a rigid immigration control policy over the years. This contradiction produced multiple gates of entry for migrants and led to the fragmentation of transnational networks of human movement.
