概要 | Several chiral Wess--Zumino--Witten(WZW) models are derived, via a Hamiltonian reduction, from the chiral gauged nonlinear $\sigma$--models on a loop group $\mathit{LG}$ based on a semi simple Lie algebra. The starting point is the cotangent bundle $T^{\ast\!}\mathit{LG}$ equipped with a noncanonical symplectic structure, and the momentum-map constraints are imposed to find the chiral WZW models as reduced theories. The Lagrangian realization is given in the language of gauged nonlinear $\sigma$-models, where the gauged Lagrangian can be systematically constructed once the infinitesimal two-cocycles on the Lie algebra $L\mathcal{G}$ are given. Some generalization including the reduction of the nonchiral WZW model is also suggested. The formalism is developed with an emphasis on the symplectic--geometrical structure of the theory.(掲載誌は日本語であるが、論文は英語である) |
