| 概要 | This study examines whether computer-mediated communication (CMC) can be an alternative to face-to-face preparation for English discussion tests. Sixty-four first-year university students practiced using one of three modes: face-to-face, synchronous text chat, or asynchronous video (Flipgrid). Students who prepared face-to-face scored significantly higher than those using either CMC mode, though no significant difference was found between the two CMC groups. The results suggest face-to-face preparation may better support broader communication skills. However, CMC tools, with appropriate guidance, may still be useful for out-of-class preparation in post-pandemic contexts. 紀要掲載論文・ 非査読 |
